How to Order and Buy My Books

My name is Paul Sofranko and I write Catholic devotional books for people in recovery from alcoholism and addictions. My books take traditional Catholic devotions and apply them to addiction recovery. I feel that it is my mission to show the richness of the Catholic Faith to Catholics and how to apply it in their spiritual journey in recovery.UntitledImage

I have self-published (for now) two books for Catholics and other Christians who are recovering from alcoholism and addictions. You can find complete information of where to buy them by visiting their Pages on my Catholic spirituality blog (link below the pics) or by clicking on the images:

The Stations of the Cross for Alcoholics

These are extensions of work that started on Sober Catholic, which discusses how the Catholic Church, with Her rich traditions of Saints and miracles, and especially with Her Sacraments such as the Holy Eucharist and Confession, can help you maintain your sobriety.

However, that’s not all! I am branching out! One of the topics I ocassionally talk about on SoberCatholic is that writing and creativity can me therapeutic. Issues can be dealt with through writing about them either in fiction or non-prose forms.

That got me to thinking….

…which is sometimes dangerous…

but when I combined those thoughts with my Marian Consecration (another topic I like!) the result was:

The Catholicpunk Manifesto!!

It’s is a call to arms, or rather, a call to pens, paintbrushes, and video cameras, for creative Catholics to take up St. Maximilian Maria Kolbe’s call to infiltrate pop culture and help alleviate the ills that pervade contemporary society. St. Maximilian saw back in the 1920s how the use of cinema, radio, and mass-market books was corrupting society. He thought that those same tools could be used as a force to counter this corruption. The Catholicpunk Manifesto tells how the teachings of the Catholic Faith can be used to provide a road map out of our current morass and a blueprint to build a more just and fair society constructed according to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the Corporal and Spiritual Works of Mercy and other elements of traditional Catholic Social Teachings (CST).
